About the role:
The Sales and Service Engineer, Tasmania is responsible for delivering customer value and drive accelerated growth. You, together with your support team, are responsible for strategic sales and service targeting of large municipal channel accounts with multiple influencers in their assigned geographic territory. In addition, you will be an advocate for Hach's products, from instrumentation and reagents to fully integrated solutions and services. With a hybrid working arrangement, this highly autonomous role requires strong leadership, business acumen, planning, and the ability to execute strategically.
This position is part of the Southwest Australia Municipal located in Perth and will be remote role.
What You'll Be Doing (Job Responsibilities)
The Sales and Service Engineer responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Your sales responsibilities will include –
Identify, develop, manage, and retain revenue-generating opportunities for the organization through the strategic & tactical sales and support of all product and service lines.
Manage the sales process from incoming qualified leads to product & services delivery, working with marketing, customer service, operations, technical service and supply chain to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Oversee the execution of planned sales activities and their capture in Hach CRM, Salesforce.com (SFDC)
Your Service responsibilities will include –
Use established ISO work instructions to provide repair and preventative maintenance services for all Hach equipment.
Work cooperatively with Service team and field sales staff to promote customer satisfaction.
Provide service phone support for customers while in their office and while traveling as required.
Be highly motivated and able to work without supervision.
Actively promote contractual service agreements and upgrade purchases of new equipment.
Determine the amount to bill customer within a framework of charges.
Submit prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.
What We Are Looking For (Skills & Qualifications)
2-3 years B2B experience selling complex technical products and solutions.
Trade certificate or 5+ years’ experience in Instrumentation or process control systems required
Restricted Electrical or Full Electrical License preferred
Mastery of PM, diagnostics & repair on core products as required
Ability to travel up to 70% of time within the assigned territory.
Occasional international travel may also be required for training and/or annual conferences.
Strong customer focus, flexible and adaptable to changing environment and needs.
Valid driver’s license
