Description

Senior Product Manager, In-Product Engagement

Splunk, a Cisco company, is building a safer and more resilient digital world with an end-to-end full stack platform made for a hybrid, multi-cloud world. Leading enterprises use our unified security and observability platform to keep their digital systems secure and reliable. Our customers love our technology, but it's our caring employees that make Splunk stand out as an amazing career destination. No matter where in the world or what level of the organization, we approach our work with kindness. So bring your work experience, problem-solving skills and talent, of course, but also bring your joy, your passion and all the things that make you, you. Come help organizations be their best, while you reach new heights with a team that has your back.
About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager focusing on in-product engagement, you will lead the development and optimization of in-product experiences that drive user engagement, product adoption, and customer success. You will collaborate across cross-functional working groups such as design, engineering, data insights, and content teams to create seamless, personalized engagement systems powered by telemetry, segmentation, and data to drive self-service and product experience understanding!

You will be a great addition to the Splunk Product Experience organization if you:
  • Are passionate about designing and delivering exceptional in-product experiences that drive user engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Have experience in managing product help systems, such as Pendo to drive telemetry and engagement programs of user journeys, and are excited about crafting intuitive, user-friendly in-product touch points.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, collaborating closely with design, engineering, and content teams to deliver engagement solutions that address user needs and business goals.
  • Are highly data-driven, using analytics and insights to continually improve the user experience and fine-tune in-product engagement strategies.
  • Can balance long-term critical thinking with tactical execution, effectively managing multiple priorities to ensure successful product outcomes.
  • Regular engagement with customers at all levels to deeply understand the perception of the in-product engagement experience.
  • Own the product requirements while working closely with key team members to ensure the delivery of an integrated experience that addresses business outcomes.
  • Establish clear metrics and KPIs to continuously evaluate performance and feature usability with a direct feedback loop into the product roadmap.
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative environment where you can partner with writers, developers, and product teams to ensure that the in-product engagement aligns with business and user needs.
  • Have a proactive approach for identifying ways to improve customer content, product experience and engagement.
  • Are thorough and can ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in how in-product engagement is created, optimized, and maintained.
What you’ll bring
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on user engagement, product help systems, or personalized user journeys.
  • Proven success in managing product engagement tools, help systems, or interactive features within software products.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with product, design, engineering, and content teams to deliver user-centric solutions.
  • Technical skills strong enough to link architectural decisions to business impacts and deliver live demonstrations of the products
  • Strong experience in applying data and analytics to make informed product decisions, measure success, and iterate on engagement strategies.
  • Ability to identify user difficulties and develop creative solutions that enhance in-product experiences.
  • Preferred: Experience in managing personalized product systems, custom user journeys, or adaptive content delivery is a plus.
  • Highly preferred: Experience using Pendo for telemetry, and in product surveys and guidance.
  • Samples that showcase your best work.
