Job Summary
We are looking for a Cotton Senior Coordinator to join the Cotton & Fiber Crops Team as part of our Engagement and Partnership Department.
The Cotton Senior Coordinator will be ready to take on a diversity of tasks from administrative support to the development of communication media, event planning, and coordination.

You will be a confident communicator, who works easily with people from all parts of the supply chain and the globe.
Key Responsibilities
- Support for the cotton team:
- Support the development and execution of the cotton strategy, ensuring adherence to project goals and timelines.
- Support the arrangements of complex meetings concerning multiple stakeholders and/or teams.
- Supporting the development of documents for internal and external use:
- Creating base decks for PowerPoint presentations.
- Formatting and spell-checking papers.
- Help with building reports and information in a digestible and presentable format.
- Provide summary notes from external meetings, and minutes in internal cotton team meetings and following up on action points.
- Managing the cotton inquiries mailbox and responding to basic enquiries about cotton, with the ability to refer to different Textile Exchange tools and standards and other teams as appropriate.
- Collaborate with team members to build relationships cotton stakeholders.
- Pathway to advancement by gaining progressive experience in direct stakeholder management by support engagement efforts, and participating in strategy development.
- Providing insights into new innovations and research into Cotton topics to refine engagement strategies:
- Carry out self-directed research into key themes and upcoming trends in cotton.
- Present findings of research together with key takeaways and next step recommendations.
- Provide input to the Cotton team on relevant upcoming topics, opportunities, and areas for future research and development.
- Build effective relationships across all levels of the organization from the leadership team to junior colleagues to ensure you are connected on what is going on.
- Advisory group, working groups and round table engagement:
- Being the key point of contact for members of the Cotton Advisory Group, and any cotton working groups to include:
- Arranging meetings to meet the agreed cadence.
- Taking meeting minutes.
- Sharing information and keeping group and sub-group members up to date.
- Ensuring follow up actions are taken (from internal team or group members).
- Collecting and compiling feedback received from different group meetings.
- Managing the application process when new groups are set up.
- In conjunction with the other members of the Cotton team, supporting the Industry Activation Team on planning and management of round tables for cotton.
- Preparing agendas with the Cotton team, contacting speakers, collating presentations, managing any follow up after
- Supporting the maintenance of the Cotton Round Table Community pages on The Hub, and increasing engagement activity through frequent posting of relevant information.
Experience and Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change in the fashion industry.
- Demonstrated interest in Textile Exchange’s vision, mission, and goals.
- Team player, resourceful, eager to learn and able to work independently in a virtual workplace.
- Highly attentive to detail with strong organizational and planning skills.
- Self-starting and proactive about thinking what is needed.
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation with the ability to work effectively remotely.
- Honest, professional, responsible, and discreet, acting with the utmost confidence.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, written, and grammatical skills in English (native or bilingual proficiency).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel, if needed.
Preferred:
- Knowledge about the cotton sector, value chains, and landscape of programs.
- Experience collecting and analyzing feedback from a global audience using a variety of tools (email, webinars, strategic conference calls, etc.).
- A second language relevant for engagement with stakeholders in key cotton producing regions.
Employment Package
- Reports to: Cotton and Crops Lead
- Full Time Position, 40 hours a week
- Location: Virtual/Remote
- Salary Range: 46,000 - 58,000 USD per year, depending on experience.
- To be filled as soon as possible (start date to be agreed between both parties).
- Our offers for salary and benefits are dependent on the region of the final candidate. We post most positions based on a US-based Team member, but final offers are made in alignment with the final candidate's permanent residence and in line with Textile Exchange's regional employment package.
