Responsibilities:

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

 

The Pharmacy Tech will be working 7days on/7days off , 1:30pm - 12am. 

Qualifications:
REQUIRED
  1. High school diploma or
  2. One of the following:
    • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia
    • Current licensure as a Pharmacy Intern in the State of Georgia
  3. Experience as a:
    • Pharmacy Technician I for a minimum of one (1) year at Northside Hospital
    • OR
    • Technician hired from outside the Northside System with one year of pharmacy related experience.
  4. Non-certified technicians will have a maximum of two (2) years from their date of hire or change of status to a pharmacy technician job class at Northside Hospital to successfully achieve certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
    • Pharmacy students with Georgia Board of Pharmacy Intern License are exempt from needing certification.
