Convene Board Portal is a leading SaaS B2B product designed to streamline and enhance the efficiency of board meetings and governance processes. The Role

As a Business Development Manager focused on the UK market, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Convene's footprint across the region. You will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving sales targets. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our growth and success in a competitive market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the UK market.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking events to generate leads and build a presence in the UK market.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure client feedback is incorporated into product development.


Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or a relevant role in the SaaS or tech industry, preferably with a focus on B2B products.
  • Strong understanding of the UK market and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors.
  • Demonstrable experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
