As Operations Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational resilience of our investment platform business. Reporting to Operations Infrastructure Manager, you will oversee risk management activities within the business unit and provide leadership in managing operational risks, incidents, audits, and compliance with business continuity frameworks.
You will act as a trusted advisor to the business, embedding risk ownership while supporting operational excellence and strategic objectives.
What you'll doManage operational risks by maintaining a robust risk management framework and ensuring policy compliance with regulatory standards.Lead the GS007 assurance process by liaising with auditors, documenting controls, and addressing audit findings to ensure compliance.Oversee incident management processes, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and monitoring trends to prevent recurrences.Maintain and regularly test the Business Continuity Plan to ensure operational readiness and resilience during disruptions.Conduct risk-based reviews of business and technology changes to evaluate compliance and mitigate potential risks.Collaborate with internal teams, auditors, and regulators to embed risk ownership and align risk management activities across the organization.What you'll need5+ years of experience in operational risk management or related roles within financial services, with a focus on investment platforms preferable. Demonstrated experience managing GS007 audits and operational risk frameworks. Proven track record of managing incidents and leading root cause analysis and remediation. Familiarity with business continuity frameworks and disaster recovery planning. Strong understanding of Australian regulatory requirements, including APRA, ASIC, and relevant financial services standards.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence stakeholders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
