What You'll do:
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and report on software testing for both development and maintenance phases, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test procedures based on system specifications, user requirements, and technical documentation.
- Accurately document and report defects, ensuring proper prioritization and escalation when necessary.
- Review and provide feedback on test documentation to align with project goals.
- Proactively identify potential risks, issues, and blockers, providing solutions and escalating concerns to team leads as appropriate.
- Independently manages assigned work with minimal oversight from team leads
- Monitors software quality metrics and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure future delivery excellence.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Ability to work on Eastern time
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required federal government security clearance
- At least 3 years of software testing experience
- Experience creating test scripts based off of user stories and development tasks
- Experience interpreting requirements, writing quality control documentation (e.g. Test Plans and Reports), and writing user acceptance test plans (including Acceptance Criteria)
- Knowledge of Test Management, Automation toolsets and processes
- Proficiency with test automation and test management tools
- Experience with accessibility testing including Section 508 accessibility standards
- Great organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, communicate and work productively as part of fully remote and/or hybrid teams
Desired Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the software development life cycle in general and Agile specifically
- Experience with low-code platforms (Appian, Outsystems, Pega, Salesforce, etc.)
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Appian Analyst Certification
- Public Trust Clearance or higher
- Trusted Tester Certification
- Experience with Jira and Zephyr
I want to point out that the position is fully remote and all US locations are included. The candidate needs to be able to work on Eastern time. Also, the candidate must have at minimum, a BS or BA degree

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
$73,337.00 - $151,628.00
