Job description

Pulsar Group offers leading media intelligence services in the Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America, providing clients with valuable insights and understanding of their brand and reputation. Our diverse client base ranges from global brands to government organizations and non-profit entities. We are currently seeking a Media Data Researcher to join our team to support our EMEA-based research team, who are responsible for our dataset that reaches beyond the APAC market.

As a Media Data Researcher/Media Release Support, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting media data to provide accurate and comprehensive reports to our clients. You will work closely with the Media team to ensure the data gathered meets the client's requirements and contributes to meaningful insights.

  • Conduct research to collect media data from various sources
  • Analyze and interpret media data to identify trends and insights
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of collected data
  • Prepare comprehensive reports based on the collected data
  • Collaborate with the Media team to meet client's requirements
  • Work with cross-regional teams, including those in APAC and Europe, to assist on various projects and media datasets, providing support to different research teams when needed
  • Stay updated with the latest media trends and industry developments
  • Demonstrate flexibility to align with EU time zones when necessary to collaborate effectively with EMEA-based teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political Science, Marketing, Business or other related Social Sciences
  • Prior experience in media research or related role is preferred
  • Proficient in data collection and analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent reading comprehension, writing and editing skills in Business English
  • Excellent English proficiency
  • 1-2 years experience in research and knowledge of socio-political economic current events or industry assignment
  • Proficient in using Google, Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of media monitoring and analysis tools is a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
