Job description

Role: Quality Analyst - Data Testing

Total Experience: 5+ Years
Location: Remote

Mandatory Skills:
  • Python
  • Advanced SQL queries
  • Big Data concepts
  • NoSQL databases
  • Hive QL, Spark QL
  • Data testing tools: DBT, iCEDQ, QuerySurge, Denodo, Informatica, etc.
  • Linux or Unix
  • Messaging systems: Kafka or RabbitMQ
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Select and integrate data tools and frameworks to provide requested capabilities.
  2. Provide technical guidance to software engineers in designing, coding, reviewing, and testing enterprise software.
  3. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers to develop QA tests to validate data and models.
  4. Implement ETL processes.
  5. Monitor performance and recommend infrastructure changes as needed.
  6. Define data retention policies.
  7. Collaborate with the recruitment team for hiring.
Requirements:
  1. Experience creating detailed and comprehensive test suites using Python.
  2. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction or validation.
  3. Strong understanding of Big Data concepts and NoSQL databases (preferred).
  4. Expertise in writing Hive QL and Spark QL queries.
  5. Hands-on experience with data testing tools like DBT, iCEDQ, QuerySurge, Denodo, Informatica, etc.
  6. Good understanding of QE testing types for data quality.
  7. Experience in troubleshooting applications and managing the defect lifecycle.
  8. Ability to test software and complete UAT in an Agile environment.
  9. Expertise in continuous automation for increased test coverage and efficiency.
  10. Proactive and reactive support in deployments and production environments.
  11. Proficiency in Linux or Unix environments.
  12. Strong debugging skills.
  13. Ability to resolve cluster operating issues.
  14. Experience integrating data from multiple sources.
  15. Knowledge of BI tools like Power BI and Tableau (preferred).
  16. Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  17. Strong analytical and excellent communication skills.
