Position Summary

The Stroke Program Manager will develop, strengthen and expand the assigned Stroke Center ensuring quality, effectiveness and customer satisfaction of problem formulation and solutions are delivered within the program. The work of the Stroke Program Manager is fully integrated with other relevant work, structures, planning and delivery within the Neurosciences Careline. The Stroke Program Manager will serve as the coordinator for stroke and neurovascular care and critical assessments in the assigned area and lead all regulatory and system certifications for stroke from regulatory bodies. The incumbent will represent the stroke program for MultiCare Health System at local, regional, state and national levels with participation in stroke related committees, technical advisory boards and neuroscience conferences.

Responsibilities

  • You will maintain an environment to support comprehensive and collaborative management of patients, including patient satisfaction and advocacy
  • You will provide clinical stroke consultation to providers at MHS and at other regional hospitals
  • You will track stroke referrals to MHS and coordinates feedback to referring staff and facilities
  • You will oversee clinical practice of stroke caregivers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service may be considered in lieu of education agreement

  • Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)

  • Specialty certification from American Board of Neuroscience Nurses as Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) or Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) within two (2) years of hire

  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a neuroscience or stroke area in a clinical or management capacity

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $120,328.00 - $180,482.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
