Job Description Summary:

The Procurement Contract Specialist will assist the HV Procurement Manager by obtaining and breaking down proposals in addition to procuring MISC electrical materials for construction. They are responsible for managing the purchasing process, from identifying suppliers to negotiating contracts and overseeing delivery schedules. This role requires a keen understanding of supply chain dynamics, market trends, and the ability to break down quotes.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

· Work closely with preconstruction team, estimators, and field teams to obtain material quotes from pursuit through construction execution.

· Review RFP’s to determine project material specification requirements. Such as; domestic content requirements

· Maintain relationships with vendors and secure competitive pricing.

· Coordinate and manage proposal team activities, including content development, reviews and approvals.

· Write, edit, and organize proposal content to ensure clarity, conciseness, and compliance with RFP requirements.

· Maintain and update proposal content library and templets.

· Ensure all proposals are accurate and reflect the company’s value position.

· Review and edit proposals for grammar, style, tone and consistency.

· Conduct post-submission evaluations to identify areas for improvement to improve win rate.

· Maintain and update Dynamics database with proposal specific information.

Objectives or Goals to Measure Performance:

· Work within pre-construction team to ensure alignment in business processes.

· Work with the estimating team to ensure proposals are submitted with all required supporting documentation and cost.

· Maintaining a positive attitude while working with project team.

· Work with Field team and vendors to ensure project deliverables are met.

· Manage drawings and delivery dates with manufactures while coordinating with the field.

· Improved personal professional growth and education.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

· Minimum 1-3 years of work-related experience in construction procurement.

· Associate degree or direct relevant industry experience preferred, skilled with knowledge related to the construction and operation of the electrical equipment and installation.

· Dynamics experience is preferred but not required.

· Excellent interpersonal skills to work with others in all situations.

· Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently.

· Effective written and verbal English communication skills.

· Proficiency and knowledge in office practices, procedures.

· Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc...)

· Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate.

· Ability to read P6 schedules to ensure timely deliveries.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

· Requires frequent stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting 20 or more lbs.

· Constant finger dexterity and ability to see details at close range and at a distance, hear, talk, and possess depth perception.

· Occasional climbing and carrying, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high exposed places.

· Occasional exposure to environmental conditions.
