What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the storage, handling, and distribution of our products, ensuring that our books reach schools on time and in excellent condition. This role is critical in supporting our mission to promote literacy and improve educational outcomes by managing logistics processes and collaborating with internal and external partners. This role will also include an office management component, supporting our Dallas-based office.

What You'll Do At Just Right Reader

  • Office Management: Oversee daily office operations, including administrative support, resource allocation, and coordination of staff to ensure efficient workflow and organizational success
  • Events Logistics:
    • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure necessary resources and services
    • Arrange transportation, accommodations, and venue setup/teardown.
    • Oversee the shipment and delivery of event materials and equipment.
    • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and vendors.
  • Order Fulfillment: Process and coordinate book orders from schools, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee and maintain inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and update records to ensure accurate availability of products.
  • Shipping and Distribution: Plan, coordinate, and monitor product distribution to ensure timely delivery to schools. Work with carriers to arrange shipping and negotiate delivery schedules and costs as needed.
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with third-party logistics providers, suppliers, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth handling, storage, and transportation of products.
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and logistics costs. Generate reports for management to review logistics performance and cost efficiency.
  • Customer Support: Work closely with the customer service team to address and resolve shipping issues, delays, and any other logistics-related inquiries from schools.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously look for ways to improve logistics processes, reduce shipping costs, and streamline order fulfillment for better efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensure all logistics operations comply with company policies and regulatory requirements, particularly in handling educational materials for school environments.
Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the education or publishing sectors.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in logistics management software, Google Suite and Office 365.
  • Location:
    • While we are a fully remote environment, this hybrid position will support our Dallas office and will need to be in the Dallas office 3 times a week.
