Our client in the building construction industry is looking for an experienced Building Component / Truss Designer to add to their team headquartered near Milwaukee, WI. While working remotely, you will be responsible for creating engineering drawings that meet customer specifications, building codes, and company standards using specialized software to design trusses and related components for residential and commercial construction projects. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work independently and possess a strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. [Remote] Building Component / Truss Designer (5+ years exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Interpret residential and/or commercial blueprints and specifications
• Prepare building component system layouts for manufacturing and installation
• Produce materials list
• Prepare pricing information
• Prepare and provide truss drawings, costs sheets and manufacturing documents
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and contractors
• Resolve architectural and design discrepancies
• Adhere to building codes and material constraints
• Provide excellent customer service

• 5+ years of building component / truss design experience required
• Remote work experience required
• Proficiency with design software MiTek or Alpine required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications required
• Willingness/ability to travel to WI for training required
