Principal Consultant, Projects – Dynamics 365 F&SCM

Job Description

The Principal Consultant, Projects – Dynamics 365 F& SCM role is responsible for working closely and effectively with our customers and responsible for reviewing clients’ business process, providing solid analysis, assessing solutions, and advising our customers on how to best meet their goals. This position relies on a strong understanding of core finance and accounting principles and project life cycle.

Qualifications And Experience

• Proven ability to participate in multiple concurrent consulting engagements, providing guidance and input as required to ensure progress and achieve project objectives.
• Proven ability to successfully implement D365 Project Management and Accounting,
• General understanding in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
• Detailed understanding of a project lifecycle from opportunity management to close-out
• Detailed understanding of Project budgets, forecasts, transactions (timesheet, expenses, purchase orders, basic production, basic asset management), invoicing and revenue recognition
• Understanding typical project reporting requirements for project-based organizations such as budget versus actual costs and revenues, Project profitability reporting and Work in Process
• Experience with Revenue recognition functionality and processes
• General understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organization skills, with strong attention to detail
• Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to take ownership of tasks and activities.
• Ability to travel up to 50%
  
  

Desired Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience implementing additional Finance modules, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Budgeting, Cost accounting, Cost management and Fixed Assets.
• An understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Experience implementing sales tax in multiple countries.
• 6+ years in Dynamics AX and/or D365F&O/Project accounting
• 5+ years working primarily for or with a professional service (Project based) organization.
• 10+ implementations in Dynamics AX and/or D365F&O/SCM
• Demonstrated ability to work in a constantly changing environment with limited direction.
• Ability to ‘get things done’ across the breadth of the organization.
• Experience working with a multicultural and/or multilingual team across several time zones.
• Experience in Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Experience writing Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
• Experience with Data migration using the Data management framework in Dynamics 365
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Participates in every aspect of the solution implementation from analyzing the customer’s business requirements to configuring and testing the Microsoft Dynamics application to meet the customer’s needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned to business objectives, gaining full understanding of current business processes, and identifying opportunities for improvements.
• Provides in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics application and evaluates the customer’s business processes against the standard Microsoft Dynamics functionality.
• Responsible for following Argano Agile Implementation methodology; understands the key activities and deliverables for the client engagement and internal projects, reuses all standard templates and project artifacts and improves quality of Argano documentation assets.
• Fully utilizes Microsoft Technology and ALM stack (LCS, BPM, ADO, Task guides, PowerApps, Office 365, etc.).
• Provides ongoing input into the delivery practice through suggestions and implementation of practice improvements.
• Responsible for documenting the business requirements which express what actions a solution must take and what outcome is expected.
• Responsible for configuring and customizing the Microsoft Dynamics application to achieve the customer’s business requirements.
• If modifications/customizations are required, either to processes or to the Microsoft Dynamics application, the T&L Functional Consultant facilitates the customer’s decision-making process and develops the functional design document that will drive the development process.
• Responsible for conducting acceptance testing and training customer resources to successfully use and maintain the Microsoft Dynamics application.
• Plans and oversees the execution of the Conference Room Pilots (CRPs), Project Increments (PIs), and User Acceptance Testing (UATs) in collaboration with the project manager and gathers early user feedback on the solution from key customer stakeholders. Validates that the solution will satisfy the customer’s requirements after a POC or UAT.
• Participates in providing structured support to Argano customers, including support portal monitoring when required, troubleshooting support requests, proactively managing and governance assigned support cases according to SLA.
• Responsible for contributing valuable assets into Argano Knowledge base, Implementation methodology toolbox and in marketing activities including blogging and sharing knowledge articles.
• Deep industry experiences and understands challenges and risks when implementing Microsoft Dynamics and Vertical applications.
