T Hub - Data Architect (Data Governance)

As a Senior Data Architect within Group Technology you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Deutsche Telekom’s Network Data landscape across multiple OpCos. You will be responsible for developing architecture guardrails, solution design blueprints (design patterns), and guiding the migration of existing data platforms towards our common target Architecture for our Groups Data Platform approach….

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and evolve architecture guardrails to ensure alignment with our Group Data Architecture principles and standards.
• Develop solution design blueprints (design patterns) for various data components including Data Lakes, Data Ingestion pipelines, Catalogs, and MLOps pipelines.
• Collaborate with OpCos to understand existing data landscapes and identify opportunities for standardization and consolidation.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable and resilient data solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to architectural guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams across OpCos, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in Data Architecture, MLOps, AIOps, and AI/ML Architecture, and assess their potential impact on our data strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles within large-scale organizations, preferably in the telecommunications or technology sector.
• Deep understanding of modern data technologies and platforms including but not limited to Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Data Ingestion tools, Metadata Management solutions, and MLOps pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, Java).
• Strong knowledge of architectural principles and design patterns, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable data solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Experience in leading and mentoring technical teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
