The Role
Deckers Brands is looking for a talented engineer to join our Information Security Team. This role is for a unique personality that thrives on deploying and maintaining cyber security technologies, as well as, assisting with threat hunting and incident response. Information Security Team members work closely with application development, operations groups, and business stakeholders across Deckers Brands to ensure that new solutions are implemented, and existing solutions are maintained, in a manner that preserves the confidentiality, integrity and availability of customer, employee, and corporate data.
This individual will be a subject matter expert in the domain of information security as it relates to servers/workstations, networks, web applications, IT processes and regulatory compliance. This role will work proactively to design and implement security tools, controls and measures to ensure data security across our global organization.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
- Monitor and administer global firewall appliances
- Monitor and administer global SASE deployment
- Monitor and administer global VPN infrastructure
- Monitor and administer global Intrusion Prevention / URL filtering infrastructure
- Address escalated information security issues
- Assist with assorted Deckers projects and maintenance requests

We’d love to hear from people with
- 5 years experience in an Information Security role
- Strong experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Zscaler platform in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with Palo Alto’s Panorama for centralized management and reporting of firewall policies and configurations.
- Strong experience with configuring and managing advanced security features of Palo Alto firewalls, such as threat prevention, URL filtering, application control, and user identification.
- Knowledge of network segmentation and micro-segmentation techniques to enhance network security and isolate critical systems.
- Experience in the information security field designing and implementing enterprise security solutions.
- Deep and broad understanding related to security encompassing end point technologies, applications, physical and virtual data center environments.
- Experience with security practices such as security incident response and risk management.
- Experience in the design, development, implementation and operational support of mission critical solutions in large scale environments and organizations.
- Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO 27001, COBIT, and NIST CyberSecurity Framework.
- High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.
- Define and assist in regional and global projects to improve operational efforts.
- Familiarity with *nix operating systems.
- Familiarity with some or all of the following tools: Nessus, Splunk, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark, EMET, Proofpoint, Netcat, Nmap, Kali, etc.
- Familiarity with the following technologies and protocols: IIS, Oracle, Apache, SMTP, SNMP, SQL, SSH, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, URL filtering, Switches, Routers, NAS, Vulnerability Management.
- Familiarity with any of the following languages: Python, Ruby, Java, C++, etc. Experience writing shellcode is a bonus.
- Ability to read exploit code to determine how it works, why it works and any modifications that may be necessary before using it in a test.
- Knowledge of IT systems, TCP/IP protocols, network devices and applications, or code development.
- Understanding of network protocols and technologies, such as VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and network segmentation techniques.
- Prior experience securing cloud environments such as AWS and/or Azure.

$125,000 - $135,000
The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
