About the role
We’re seeking Examiners to join us for the Level 1/2 Technical Award in Engineering on a flexible worker contract. This role could be suitable if you have current or recent teaching experience within an engineering or design technology related subject.
How you'll make an impact:
- Marking external assessments as required and submitting results using our systems within set timescales
- Following and maintaining the standard set by the Chief Examiner, applying the mark scheme consistently and accurately
- Reporting suspected malpractice or safeguarding concerns to the Assessment Delivery team
- Attending examiner standardisation and training events, and other meetings as required – standardisation events will be scheduled for weekdays between the hours of 9.00am-5.00pm
- Maintaining the confidentiality of NCFE assessment materials, learner evidence and learner details, and report any breaches to the Assessment Delivery team
We'd love to hear from you if you offer the following:
- A professional qualification (at Level 4 or above) relating to the engineering or design technology sector
- Current or recent teaching experience within an engineering or design technology related subject
- An understanding of effective quality assurance mechanisms
- The ability to work consistently within tight deadlines
