About the Role:

The SoftwareOne Marketplace Platform Team is on the lookout for a Principal Software Engineer (.NET) who is passionate about technology and eager to make a significant impact. As part of our 60-strong engineering team, you’ll be at the forefront of driving the evolution of SoftwareOne’s online marketplace, client interfaces, internal integrations, and external vendor relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead by Example: Work closely with your Engineering Manager to maintain and elevate team performance. Demonstrate best practices in engineering and mentor your team to achieve technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Product Managers: Ensure your cross-functional, product-focused team is aligned with business goals and contributes to the overall success of the organization.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Lead technical design sessions, retrospectives, and code reviews. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding complex projects and ensuring high standards are met.
• Shape the Future: Contribute to the hiring strategy and professional development of your teams, helping to build a strong, innovative, and cohesive engineering organization.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experienced Leader: Significant experience as an architect, staff, or principal engineer in a SaaS environment, with a proven track record of leading complex projects and teams.
• Strategic Thinker: You’ve served as a technical lead and defined implementation approaches for complex, multi-team projects. You have a strong bias for action and the ability to drive projects forward in an agile environment.
• Mentor and Influencer: You have experience mentoring and influencing engineers across organizations, helping them grow and achieve their potential.
• Technical Expertise: Comfort with C#/.NET containerized applications in a multi-region, highly available environment. Your deep technical knowledge will be a key asset in our fast-paced, innovative team.
