Job description

We at sevDesk

As an intuitive cloud accounting software, we empower founders, self-employed individuals, and small business owners to focus on what truly matters. Our product offers them a smart accounting tool to save time in their daily activities. As a company, we aim for excellence, continuously expand our horizons, and strive for daily improvement of our product and our daily work life. In pursuit of these goals, we rely on our strong culture, innovative spirit, and unwavering passion. In the future, we hope to count you among our dedicated team members.

Your mission

Accounting & taxes can be daunting for busy entrepreneurs on the go. Away from the big desktop screen, they rely on sevdesk’s mobile app for their accounting needs. As a (Senior) Mobile App Product Manager, you will lead the development and enhancement of our mobile applications. Your goal is to create an exceptional mobile user experience that drives user engagement, subscription and retention. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our mobile solutions meet customer needs and align with our business objectives.

Your short-term goal will be to increase the subscription conversion rate from mobile device users. While your long-term goal will be to keep the mobile app user satisfaction and retention high.

Our growth domain accelerates user progress and business growth, playing a crucial role in sevdesk’s success. We are well embedded within the product org and also maintain close ties with our marketing and partnership teams.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

  • Lead the strategic development of our mobile app product, focusing on user-centric design and seamless functionality.

  • Work closely with your product trio (Jill & Marie) and product engineers to solve real user problems and drive business impact.

  • Collaborate with marketing (e.g. Anna-Carina) and other PMs (e.g. Alex and Sascha) to deliver great value to mobile app users.

  • Conduct in-depth user research to understand mobile user needs and pain points in accounting and tax.

  • Define and monitor product KPIs and leading indicators, such as the Aha moment, to guide your decisions for maximum user & business impact.

  • Develop and execute the product roadmap for the mobile app.

  • Drive mobile-specific feature prioritization and implementation.

Your skills:

  • Driving outcomes: Outcomes ultimately are all that matter. What impact did your team have?

  • Customer-centric and data-informed: You back your decisions with qualitative and quantitative data. You are incredibly close to the customers' pains and needs to create the best possible value for sevdesk.

  • Start with the problem: You must have a stubborn focus on understanding, refining, and articulating the problem (or opportunity) your team is solving.

  • Communication and collaboration: You build engaged, high-performing collaborative and inclusive teams, ensuring that they fully leverage the best from those around them. You inspire and motivate others to work towards a clear, compelling vision. You communicate clearly, concisely and assertively.

  • Ownership: You grind it out, constantly looking for a way forward to deliver value to your product area, your team, and sevdesk.

Your qualification:

  • 3+ years as a product manager in a customer-centric environment.

  • Proven track record of successful mobile app product management paired with a strong understanding of the iOS and Android platforms.

  • Fluent in English (C1 level) and live in Germany. German skills is a plus.
