Director of Product Management

Remote U.S.  (designated states)

This position is fully remote and may be performed from one of the following U.S. states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IN, KS, MA, MI, MS, NC, NV, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX. 

We are seeking a Product Director to lead the development and execution of our product strategy within the healthcare SaaS space. This role will involve working cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to deliver innovative products that meet the needs of Therapy providers and organizations. You will be responsible for shaping the product vision, setting priorities, and driving product initiatives that empower therapy professionals to give better care and achieve superior outcomes.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for our SaaS platform, with a focus on delivering value to healthcare providers, payers, and patients. Ensure alignment with company goals and market demands.
  • Conduct and participate in market research, user interviews, and competitive analysis to understand healthcare industry trends, customer needs, and pain points. Use insights to define product features, functionality, and positioning.
  • Work closely with engineering, UX/UI design, CX, marketing, and sales teams to define product requirements, set timelines, and ensure successful delivery of product innovation
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of product development, from ideation and concept through to launch and iteration. Monitor KPIs to ensure product success and identify opportunities for enhancement or optimization.
  • Communicate product vision, progress, and results to internal stakeholders, including executives, and provide regular updates on key metrics and milestones
  • Ensure all products meet healthcare industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA), and collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any industry-specific needs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, product owners and designers,  fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement aligned to measurable goals.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new product features, ensuring successful product launches, customer adoption, and retention.
  • Regularly evaluate the performance of products within the portfolio to identify areas where the cost outweighs the value generated and provide actionable recommendations for improvements or next steps.
  • Develop comprehensive, data-backed business cases for new SaaS product initiatives, enhancements, or investments, including detailed financial projections (costs, revenue, ROI), risk assessments, and market opportunity evaluations
  • Lead the pricing and packaging strategy for new products in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders 
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop competitive market positioning and create effective product launch strategies
  • Create and manage Voice of the Customer (VOC) listening, research and validation programs to understand the customer base's needs and industry – win/loss and customer advisory groups 
  • Manages overall product launch for your products and creates alignment across all functions to understand the why, supports company enablement and messaging frameworks that support value drivers and customer stories
  • Participate in onsite observations, market research activities, tradeshow and other events to to translate this feedback into product requirements and intel
  • Be involved and aware of major milestones for each product initiative with the ability to identify potential risks before they happen and guide the team on mitigation

Required Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a HealthTech or SaaS company
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, including knowledge of healthcare workflows, regulations, and challenges, is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex SaaS products, from inception to launch, with a focus on user-centered design and data-driven decision-making
  • Proven ability to convert the portfolio vision into a strategic roadmap that is aligned with desired outcomes and drives value creation
  • Strong leadership and proven people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams toward achieving shared product goals
  • Solid understanding of software development processes, with the ability to work effectively with engineering teams
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) is a plus
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate customer needs into actionable product strategies that align with company objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Management). MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus
