As a Tableau Developer at VGM Homelink, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports to support our business decision-making processes. You will work closely with analysts and various stakeholders to gather requirements, create visualizations, and ensure data accuracy and integrity. Your role will be crucial in transforming data into actionable insights that drive business performance and strategy.

Reporting Accountability: Director of Data Solutions 

Working Location: On-Site in Waterloo, IA; hybrid or remote 

Working Hours: Full-Time, 8am-5pm+ CST Monday-Friday 


Responsibilities/Duties of the Job

  • Design and develop interactive and visually appealing Tableau reports and dashboards that enable business stakeholders to access, analyze, and interpret data
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, including critical metrics and KPI reporting needs
  • Collaborate technical team members to ensure data is structured and organized in a way that enables efficient and effective reporting and analysis
  • Troubleshoot issues with existing reports and dashboards, and work with stakeholders to identify and implement solutions
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting as needed
  • Maintain record of up-to-date technical documentation, including document creation
  • Train and support end-users on Tableau functionalities and best practices
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards
  • Optimize and improve existing Tableau solutions for better performance and usability
  • Stay updated with the latest Tableau features and industry trends to optimize reporting capabilities

 

Position Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • 1-3+ years’ experience working with data visualization or analytical projects
  • Highly motivated individual that works well independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders as well as executive leadership
  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, SQL, and other data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Operation of office equipment and using technology efficiently such as computers, phones, misc. office equipment
  • Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
  • Comfort and acceptance of a remote work environment; working at a distance from the home-office and team members yet staying connected through in-office virtual networks. Occasional travel to business-critical meetings or events. Rare but on occasion.

Compensation Overview 

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.
