Job description

ADTRAV Travel Management, founded in 1977, has over four decades of experience in managing corporate, government, vacation, group, meetings, and incentive travel programs across the United States. ADTRAV is seeking a Graphic Designer to play a vital role on the ADTRAV Marketing team, creating dynamic print and digital content that enhances brand visibility and drives engagement. This position blends creativity with strategic execution, supporting marketing initiatives for both client-facing and internal stakeholders. The Graphic Designer brings expertise in copywriting, paid social campaigns, and SEO, ensuring content is impactful and optimized for a digital-first world. 

The position is required to be in Birmingham, AL or within a 2-hour drive of our office. This position can work remotely but must be able to come into the office as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

  • Creative Design and Content Development
    • Execute corporate marketing strategies across all platforms. 
    • Design compelling marketing materials, including proposals, newsletters, and social media assets, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Conceptualize and execute visuals that align with campaign goals and branding guidelines.
    • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to refine and finalize designs based on feedback. 
  • Digital Campaigns and Optimization
    • Create and manage visuals tailored to paid social media campaigns, ensuring optimal performance and ROI.
    • Integrate SEO best practices into digital content and creative assets to boost visibility and engagement. 
    • Test and adapt graphics for different platforms to maintain consistency and maximize impact. 
    • Develop and execute Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns for corporate and sponsored content.
  • Brand Management and Collaboration
    • Ensure all designs and materials are visually appealing, cohesive and on-brand. 
    • Partner with copywriters and the creative team to produce high quality, unified content. 
    • Collaborate with Marketing team to uphold brand standards across campaigns and channels.
  • Project Management and Events
    • Plan, coordinate, and track projects and team activities through project management software (e.g., Jira, Ziflow, Bloom, etc.). 
    • Assist in planning trade shows, conferences, and other events; work non-standard business hours during meetings and events.
  • Conduct market research and analyze findings to inform creative direction and marketing initiatives. 
  • Contribute to the development and execution of marketing campaigns for products and services. 
  • Assist in creating, recommending, and implementing marketing programs. 
  • Represent ADTRAV by embracing the company values and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, partners, vendors, and clients. 
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, fine arts or related field or equivalent experience required. 
  • 4+ years of proven experience in graphic design, including digital and print media. 
  • Able to present a strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
  • Strong understanding of paid social media strategies and campaign management. 
  • Knowledge of SEO and SEM principles, with experience applying them to content and CRM platforms. 
  • Proficient with design tools (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with collaborative platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Hands-on, highly organized and a strong team player.  
  • Analytic and decisive with ability to prioritize and communicate objectives.  
  • Strong problem-solving, adaptability, and creativity skills. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organization skills. 
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, appropriate for client-facing marketing messages. 
  • Highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines.  
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing both strategic and tactical responsibilities.  
  • Able to present a professional and positive demeanor with internal and external customers/clients and work cooperatively. 
  • Ability to work remotely and meet the company home-office requirements.  
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of company and client information. 
  • Able to work outside of normal business hours, including nights and weekends, during company meetings and events.  
  • Able to travel up to 20%. 
  • Able to successfully pass a credit, criminal, and/or employment reference background check.
