Job Summary

Reporting to the Regional Team Lead of Data Solutions, you will join a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team of real estate professionals. This team is responsible for the production of our Commercial Transactions Database, which tracks commercial investment activity in key Canadian markets and provides real estate professionals with market insights and data for well-informed decision-making. In this role, you will research the commercial real estate market in the Greater Toronto Area, gaining first-hand knowledge of these markets.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct comprehensive research on commercial property sales by engaging with property stakeholders and brokers through phone and email to collect valuable data elements.

  • Prepare and validate source data for primary research tasks.

  • Conduct property site visits (as necessary).

  • Resolve data quality issues and align with market requirements.

  • Monitor broker reports, websites, press releases, and other secondary sources.

  • Update and validate secondary research data in internal systems.

  • Conduct regular data audits and escalate unresolved issues.

  • Manage and resolve client inquiries related to data and processes.

  • Network with industry professionals to enhance data collaboration.

Key Qualifications

  • University degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate, business or related.

  • 0-2 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate.

  • Past experience within the brokerage industry is an asset.

  • Valid driver’s license is required.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to stay organized, multitask effectively, and maintain a strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish trusted relationships with industry professionals.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in use of database and word processing applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
