JOB TITLE: Product Owner - PEC Decisioning & Channel Integration
LOCATION(S): Bristol
SALARY: £57,546 - £63,940
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least
two days per week, or 40% of our time in the Bristol office.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Decisioning team at a pivotal time during our Platform transformation. Our mission is to deliver experiences that are uniquely tailored to each customer, recognising that no two people are the same. To achieve this, you will be helping to build a decisioning ecosystem that harnesses everything we know about our customers; leverages the latest machine learning and AI capabilities and draws upon the very best Next Best Action technologies to create truly stand-out personalised experiences.
Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) platform sits within the Consumer Relationships BU and plays a substantial role in supporting the achievement of the Group Personalisation strategy to be more relevant for customers.
As a Product Owner, you'll have the following accountabilities:
Supports development of Team OKRs and provides product performance and benefits realisation data.
Defines user-stories at Team level to meet customer needs.
Works with Customer Journey Manager to analyse user stories for customer journey improvement.
Provides input into overall Product vision and Product roadmap.
Prioritises, refines and manages Team Product backlog.
Work very closely with the Data and Insight & Content and Customer Experience labs within the platform to align on prioritisation, roadmaps and value delivery
Accountable for change governance and business readiness activities (e.g. training and comms, testing and readiness for implementation) NB: POs are accountable but activities to be delivered by the whole ‘team’.
Investigates incidents and develops contingency plan accountabilities.
Implements development frameworks for their area, coach and mentor others in the organisation.
Works with Integrators to ensure risks and dependencies are identified, managed, and interlocked where applicable
What you'll need
Product Delivery - Uses varied experience to plan and manage the budget and resources and optimise the delivery of great products that continuously create value to the users.
Customer Centricity - Promotes value of customer outcomes with team and peers and ensures work efforts achieve these. Anticipates customer’s needs and uses customer input and steer to present targeted, integrated, and outcome-focused solutions and opportunities.
Product Ownership - Takes ownership of a single backlog supporting simple tech changes to a product and being responsible for its success/failure. Leads work across the feature team. Uses experience to prioritise work and manage backlog. demonstrates a sufficient level of domain knowledge.
Specialism - Knowledge of data management, the basic principles of statistical modelling, and Next Best Action and/or communications technologies would be extremely advantageous
