Job description

Overview:

National Debt Relief (NDR) is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Platform Analytics to lead our platform analytics team as part of the Data Intelligence organization. This role is ideal for a proven leader with deep expertise in platform analytics who is eager to balance strategic oversight with hands-on data analysis. You will be instrumental in guiding the team to evaluate and measure the impact of product and engineering initiatives, collaborating with key business stakeholders, and working across functions to integrate data into our data warehouse and ensure its effective use. The role demands a seasoned professional who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has the technical proficiency, business acumen, and communication skills to influence senior leadership and stakeholders effectively. We are looking for an experienced yet hands-on analytics leader who can confidently drive results, mentor the team, and lead by example.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing platform analytics team, mentoring team members and fostering an environment of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Serve as a "player-coach," balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on data analysis and exploration using advanced SQL (Snowflake preferred) and Python.
  • Analyze complex product and engineering initiatives to assess their impact, provide actionable insights, and align data outcomes with strategic business goals.
  • Identify and proactively communicate data issues, guiding the development of robust solutions and providing clear requirements to product and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to ensure that relevant data is accurately integrated into the data warehouse, optimizing data flow and accessibility.
  • Partner with the Enterprise BI team to ensure that critical data is effectively surfaced for reporting and business analysis, enabling data-driven decision-making across the company.
  • Act as the first point of contact for evaluating new data sources, assessing changes to existing data, and onboarding third-party data vendors. Communicate these changes internally to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Develop and implement data strategies that address platform analytics needs while supporting business objectives and long-term growth.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand strategic questions, define the data required for measuring results, and build impactful solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Provide expertise in third-party data evaluations and analyses, delivering comprehensive recommendations for internal and external data use.
  • Create compelling data stories through excellent data visualization and presentation skills, ensuring that findings are effectively communicated to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a degree in computer science, data engineering, or related field as a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in data analytics, with significant time spent in product analytics roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing analytics teams, with a proven ability to be hands-on and deeply involved in technical work.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL (Snowflake preferred) and strong programming skills in Python.
  • High level of business acumen and strategic thinking, with an ability to translate complex data analysis into actionable insights that align with business objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders and presenting to senior leaders.
  • Strong experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business teams, to integrate data insights into strategic decisions.
  • Excellent data visualization and storytelling capabilities, ensuring insights are presented in a clear, engaging, and impactful manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Experience in financial services or a related industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality assurance practices preferred.
  • Working knowledge of BI tools such as Sigma Computing preferred.
  • Proven expertise in evaluating third-party data sources and conducting comprehensive vendor assessments preferred.

NDR role qualifications:

  • Computer competency and ability to work with a computer.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Punctuality expected, ready to report to work on a consistent basis.
  • Attain and maintain high performance expectations on a monthly basis.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Use and navigate multiple computer systems with exceptional multi-tasking skills.
  • Remain calm and professional during difficult discussions.
  • Take constructive feedback.
