Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (Remote) to join our growing team!

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate consulting services programs for our existing and new client base. As the Technical Project Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the successful execution of projects, leveraging agile / iterative methodologies. Your strong technical background, program management expertise, and ability to foster collaboration will be essential in supporting data-driven decision-making and achieving business objectives. 

 

A Day in the Life

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: 
    • Lead collaboration with product managers, business analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and align on priorities across multiple product domains and platform teams. 
    • Foster effective communication and collaboration between Consulting Services teams and other departments to ensure seamless integration of data-driven insights into product development. 
    • Coach and serve as an example to multiple teams in systems thinking, root cause analysis, and collaborative problem solving. 
  • Program Planning, Execution and Monitoring: 
    • Lead effective planning and estimation activities for predictable delivery of critical outcomes. 
    • Develop and maintain program and release plans, adapting to changing requirements and priorities while ensuring alignment with business objectives. 
    • Regularly assess progress, monitor and identify risks and issues, and proactively address issues to keep projects on track. 
    • Prioritize initiatives and deliverables based on strategic goals, resource availability, and potential business impact. 
    • Direct and manage project development timelines from beginning to end, under minimal supervision.
    • Coordinate all activities within the project team to ensure that project tasks are completed on time, including but not limited to scheduling and facilitating project-related team meetings, communicating status updates, delivering weekly status reports, communicating with the development team, ensuring quality assurance through deployment success.
    • Manage customer expectations by effectively communicating project expectation between all parties in a timely and clear fashion. 
    • Maintain required project documentation, per PMO processes. 
  • Agile Program Practices: 
    • Facilitate the adoption of agile methodologies within the project and client teams, promoting iterative development, continuous improvement, and adaptability. 
    • Work closely with team leads to plan iterations, define user stories, and prioritize tasks for efficient project execution. 
    • Remove obstacles and ensure the teams have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality results. 
  • Internal Project Team Development: 
    • Encourage a test-and-learn culture that emphasizes data-driven decision-making and helps identify optimal solutions faster. 
  • Performance and Metrics Tracking: 
    • Lead development of measurable program objectives aligned directly with company goals. 
    • Define relevant KPIs and success metrics for all project types, enabling effective performance tracking and reporting. 
    • Analyze project results to provide insights for continuous improvement and decision-making. 
  • Stakeholder Communication: 
    • Provide timely updates to executive leadership and stakeholders on program status, achievements, and any potential roadblocks. 
    • Clearly convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, ensuring effective communication and understanding. 
  • Successfully prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment for multiple customers and programs

We are looking for someone who brings

  • Experience:  
    • Requires 5+ years of related experience 
    • Bachelor’s degree or related experience preferred
    • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and supplemental methodologies e.g., Agile, is required 
    • Certification in Project Management from PMI is a plus 
    • Consulting experience is preferred 
    • Experience handling complex programs for multiple customers at a time preferred
  • Computer/Technical:  
    • Proficient in Office 365 - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project 
    • Proficient in JIRA, or other work management tools, and experience in other PSA tools preferred
    • Demonstrate ability to learn and understand basic office software applications is critical 
  • Other Skills:  
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization and follow up skills 
    • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to work both individually and as a member of a team are necessary   
      • Hands on capable in various area of the projects based on skills and experience 
    • Expertise with agile methodologies and experience in managing iterative development processes. 
    • Demonstrated experience documenting user requirements 
      • Managed and participated in the collection of user requirements 
      • Experience creating user stories, epics and prioritized backlogs 
      • Experience running a program increment planning session 
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, handle ambiguity, and facilitate efficient decision-making. 
    • Demonstrated leadership skills, promoting teamwork, communication and fostering a collaborative work environment. 
      • Proven track record building successful relationships and partnerships at all organizational levels, internally, externally, intra and interdepartmentally 
    • Proven ability to manage complex projects 
      • Proven ability to manage with minimal supervision 
      • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 
      • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with keen ability to deal with detailed, and sometimes ambiguous, information 
    • Strong client focus with exceptional collaborative and negotiation skills 
      • Prevent situations from negatively impact client impressions 
      • Create new opportunities through deep client relationships 
    • Ability to analyze and administer contracts, manage and forecast revenue delivery
