We’re Looking For A(n): Retail Marketing Director to create, execute, analyze and optimize the retail marketing plan for all pet brands in multiple channels in close coordination with brand teams, sales team and national retail partners

Location: Remote (Office in Woodland Hills CA)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead and engage the retail marketing team
  • Create and execute differentiated national marketing programs 
  • Create opportunities to leverage Direct-to-Consumer assets and capabilities
  • Work collaboratively with DTC brand teams to create an omni channel customer experience
  • Improve our ability to educate store personnel and consumers on the benefits of alternative feeding
  • Leverage PR and trade publication for maximum retail affect
  • Oversee and help improve product launches, national and key account marketing programs, B2B sales tools, Golden Door program, merchandising, national promotions
  • Analyze and optimize ROI for all marketing programs
  • Assist with ideation of new product and packaging development 

Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

  • 10+ years of brand and/or retail marketing in the consumer goods space 
  • 3+ years of Pet experience in some capacity  
  • 3+ years of social media and/or e commerce experience
  • Pet (food) retail marketing experience
  • Pet experience in the independent pet and/or pet specialty channel
  • Product development experience 
  • Ability to travel 25%
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate a team
  • Ability to translate high-level objectives into practical strategic initiatives
  • Skilled in utilizing creativity to develop engaging, memorable marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams
  • Navigates ambiguity with confidence 
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

The base salary range is $130,000-$165,000 plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.

The posted salary range in this job posting reflects data based on California's cost of labor analysis. This salary range is subject to change per state; please click here to find the pay differential in your state of residence if the role is remote. 


Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geographical location.
