Overview:

Join our dynamic Talent Acquisition Team as a Talent Partner! In this role, you'll collaborate closely with hiring managers and business leaders, acting as a trusted consultant to attract and secure top-tier talent.
 
The ideal candidate will need to be detail oriented, be able to manage multiple priorities at once and be flexible and collaborative in working with others. Those who possess strong influencing, execution and communication skills, and a proven track record in sourcing, attracting, and closing the right candidates will fit best in this role.

 

You'll play a key part in shaping our candidates' journeys, ensuring they have exceptional experiences from start to finish. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Stakeholder/Client Engagement

  • Consults with hiring managers and business leaders on talent needs and opportunities and pushes for the acceptance of differentiated and alternative types of talent (e.g., compete, diverse, nontraditional) that may not be typically considered.
  • Identifies current and future talent needs through opportunistic exploration and analysis of market demands, and proactively consults leaders to create new roles that bring in desired talent.

Data Analysis & Hiring Plans

  • Analyzes relevant data and trends to provide insight, and consults with business partners to implement a hiring plan that addresses both business demand and talent availability for short-term and near-term needs.

Candidate Attraction and Experience

  • Elicits interest in active and potential candidates by storytelling, and contributes to the development of new stories. Fosters awareness through community outreach events and strategic networking.
  • Models best practices on sourcing, recruiting, and/or closing techniques and stories. Tracks candidate activity and shares with internal stakeholders.
  • Explains key points of GitHub's unique career possibilities, advantages, and rewards that are distinct from those of competitors.
  • Enhances the candidate experience at all stages of the relationship by identifying factors that may adversely impact the candidate, and sharing with the business to mitigate.

Candidate Assessment & Screening

  • Coaches others (e.g., hiring managers, interviewers) to use tools and assessment frameworks to assess candidates. Identifies relevant competencies and job criteria to facilitate the creation of assessment materials.
    Leads initial screening and assessing of candidates. Independently qualifies the talent pool by identifying and assessing relevant factors such as ability to hire, relocation considerations, immigration, and compensation.

Operational Compliance & Excellence

  • Adheres to internal and external recruiting policies, standards, and/or regulations throughout the entire recruiting process and educates clients, stakeholders, and other Hubbers on policy, system, and process. 
  • Maintains current documentation on candidates’ qualifications and status in the appropriate recruiting or tracking system, within compliance guidelines (e.g., Office of Federal Compliance Programs, General Data Protection Regulation). Acts as a consultant to educate and capture relevant data and performs analyses to inform meaningful insights.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, or related field 

    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 

    • OR equivalent experience

  • Experience working within an ATS (Applicant Tracking System)

  • Previous experience in technical recruiting

  • Experience in full lifecycle recruitment including client management, passive candidate engagement/sourcing, negotiation and closing candidate offers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience/Familiarity with iCIMS, assessments & candidate selection

  • Experience with programs that deliver fantastic outcomes for candidate and hiring manager experiences

  • Experience with creating and driving efficiencies within hiring practices
