ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
NPD is seeking an energetic, data-driven, and innovative Manager, Programmatic to join our remote Paid Media team. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of managing programmatic budgets of over $1M per month and understands what it takes to set and win competitive bids while meeting campaign KPIs. Candidates should have outstanding knowledge of how DV360 or similar programmatic platforms work, as well as have a good grasp on how to optimize performance based on the campaign objective of performance or awareness. Equally important as technical programmatic skills are the ability to communicate recommendations and analysis of performance to clients and colleagues alike.
This position is based out of Canada. Applicants must reside and be authorized to work in Canada.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver programmatic media strategy and recommendations for clients
- Conduct ongoing analysis of programmatic trends while staying up to date on recent platform updates and how to apply them to clients’ campaigns
- Project estimated campaign performance results based on client budgets and benchmark costs and rates
- Execute day-to-day trading, including campaign bid management and daily optimizations across various paid media tactics, including but not limited to: OTT/streaming video, digital audio, digital out of home, native, and display
- Identify third party data segments at efficient CPMs for audience targeting
- Traffic ad creative through third-party ad server (CM360)
- Monitor ad verification, brand safety, and viewability
- Negotiate and implement direct and private marketplace deals with select media partners
- Interpret and report on attribution models across programmatic and other paid media campaigns to illustrate the impact of upper-funnel tactics on performance
- Guide tracking and floodlight tag setup alongside Data, Analytics & Insights team
- Follow department media buying processes to ensure campaigns run accurately
- Steward clients’ budgets through meticulous management of daily, campaign, or lifetime spending and daily, week, monthly, or quarterly pacing
- Analyze and resolve diverse and complex issues based on in-depth knowledge of programmatic and ad serving platforms
- Develop, deliver, and present client reporting and insights on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Collaborate with internal teams and departments to share programmatic insights that can be leveraged across paid search, paid social, and SEO efforts
- Connect with graphic designers or client creative teams to provide performance insights and recommendations on campaign assets
- Respond to client questions and ad hoc requests in a timely manner
- Share programmatic knowledge with and provide mentorship to Managers & Specialists to foster their growth
- Support the new business team with pitch recommendations and deliverables as needed
- Provide feedback on and contribute to department initiatives as a senior-level team member
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum of 4+ years of programmatic buying experience
- Experienced in managing monthly DSP budgets exceeding $1 million
- Thrives off improving programmatic media campaign performance and the opportunity to drive growth for clients
- Familiarity with awareness and consideration metrics used for campaign measurement
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to both external and internal stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail and data analysis to ensure campaigns run accurately and insights are uncovered that lead to campaign recommendations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability prioritize time and workload efficiently
- Team player who is willing to help others whenever needed
- Responsive to constructive feedback to foster personal and professional growth
- Passionate about training and growing the skillsets of junior team members
