Our Location
Energy Trust provides a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington. The Change Management Specialist would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum.
What We’re Looking For:
As an expert change management practitioner, this position performs a critical role supporting the successful implementation of a variety of organization-wide projects and initiatives. The Change Management Specialist collaborates with leaders, project teams, stakeholders and specialists in other disciplines to help teams through transition while achieving desired outcomes. In addition to
serving as the assigned change manager on specific projects, the position also provides expert guidance and support to other change leaders around the organization. This is a highly collaborative role.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the assigned change manager on a variety of cross cutting projects and initiatives, collaborating closely with sponsors, project managers and specialists in communications, people services and DEIB to achieve successful outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive strategies and action plans that address all aspects of managing change including communications, training, sponsor messaging, manager coaching and reinforcement.
- Actively engage with managers and employees throughout the change process to address concerns, build trust, reinforce benefits, and proactively manage resistance.
- Conduct ongoing assessments, evaluate the effectiveness of change at key milestones and adapt plans as needed.
- Design and implement communications plans in coordination with the communications team, including developing materials and establishing 2-way communication channels. Help to reinforce key messages connected to other organization-wide change initiatives.
- Facilitate information sessions, workshops, and other change related meetings.
- Develop and manage the implementation of training plans; assist in curriculum design as needed.
- Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- As a member of the Organization Development team, facilitate interactive small-group discussions with employees, research best practices, assist in designing solutions and provide expert coaching and guidance to other change leaders around the organization.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, psychology, organizational behavior, communications, human resources management or other human centered field of study is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Change Management certification (eg. PROSCI, CCMP, AIM) preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a practitioner with hands on experience guiding the implementation of large and complex new initiatives using a structured change management approach.
- Experience in adjacent fields is desirable, such as project management, internal communications, learning and development, operations, program management and organization development.
- Strong understanding of change management methodologies and how to put them into practice.
- Flexible and adaptable; resilient working through ambiguous situations.
- Skilled in qualitative analysis, with aptitude for critical thinking and human-centered problem-solving.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to clearly articulate messages and connect with a variety of audiences at all levels.
- Ability to facilitate interactive discussions in large and small group settings.
- Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
