Director, Product Marketing, Live Commerce & Categories
About the team and the role:
eBay is seeking a talented and dynamic product marketing expert with a proven-track record in transformational leadership. You will build an end to end product marketing team to drive inbound product marketing and outbound go to market strategy for new buyer features and a new live video e-commerce shopping platform. If you are a catalyst for innovation, who enjoys working as a player-coach as well as scaling impact through a team, this is the role for you.
In this role you will grow demand for eBay Live, a new highly interactive livestream shopping experience that allows buyers to shop curated livestream events, hosted by their favorite influencers, brands, and sellers. Additionally, you will support the product strategy and go-to-market launch, adoption and optimization of features delivering new buyer value propositions in categories such as collectibles and fashion.
This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of the eBay marketing team redefining how we bring eBay’s products to market. As Director of Product Marketing Live Commerce & Categories, you will be responsible for building capabilities to scale product marketing impact globally. To be successful, you should be an experienced Product Marketing leader with Live shopping, social commerce or video commerce expertise as well as a skilled people leader with a track record in building high-performing organizations from the ground-up.
What you will accomplish:
Influence product roadmaps by synthesizing market, customer and competitive insights, build audience segmentations and opportunity sizing.
Synthesize customer research into product and/or go-to-market ideas; create customer feedback loops during the product and marketing development process.
Build product value proposition messaging, naming, product narratives with proof points, testimonials, and claims content.
Manage product launches and ensure customer adoption of new features via in-product content, marketing and communications, customer service, and in-market / sales channels.
Scale how you and the product marketing organization stay up-to-date with market trends, technologies, and competitor activity to inform product and go-to-market strategy
Define key metrics for success, and track progress against goals.
Grow and develop a thriving team of direct reports
What you will bring:
10+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 5 years in a people leadership role in product marketing
Have worked in Live shopping, social commerce or video commerce business contexts
Success working collaboratively with global cross-functional teams
Excellent communication skills
Strong data analysis skills
You have launched products globally or in international regions
Plus
Past experience in management consulting or brand/product management
An advanced degree in strategy, marketing, communications, business, or related field
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$160,400 - $254,100
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
