Role: Software Engineer.
Team: Web Development.
Location: Remote first; with fortnightly to monthly face-to-face in Gloucester.
Tech: Blazor, C#, Azure, ADO, HTML, CSS. Moq, NUnit, bUnit, Automapper, Playwright.

Role
As a Software Engineer at Howden, you will become part of one of our agile teams. You will harness the capabilities of Microsoft Azure, Blazor and C# to develop our front-end applications to create scalable, high-performing, and user-friendly solutions that are secure and reliable.
You will participate in agile sessions, working closely with your team to deliver our roadmap whilst utilising your technical and problem-solving skills.

About you:
A keen understanding of the broader technological landscape.
You will have a strong understanding and demonstrable use of HTML and CSS.
You will have demonstrable experience in C# and Blazor in an Azure environment.
A keen eye for detail and a focus on putting users first.
A defensive mindset when consuming APIs and sanitising user inputs.
An understanding of accessibility needs and relevant standards.
Demonstrable experience with Test-driven Development and a strong commitment to high quality, maintainable and easy to understand code.
Exposure to group/mob/ensemble programming activities.
A strong communicator and able to seek and provide help early and often with your peers.
A bias towards action.
An experimental and scientific mindset leading to data-led decision making
An understanding of agile development methodologies.
Understanding of the value of continuous delivery practices and iterative development based on feedback.
Actively engage and participate in all agile sessions.
Ability to demonstrate working software to a mixture of stakeholders.
Strong documentation skills in generating acceptance criteria, test cases, readmes etc.
