Your Role as a DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer assigned to the Othaim/Octopus project, you will contribute to the enhancement of our CI/CD processes and the automation of infrastructure provision. Your expertise will directly impact the speed and quality of software deployments, ensuring that Othaim/Octopus continues to thrive in the evolving digital landscape.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage scalable deployment processes.
Infrastructure Management: Administer and optimize cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
CI/CD Pipeline Enhancement: Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline code releases, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
Automation: Leverage configuration management tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.
Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify issues and ensure system integrity.
Security Practices: Advocate for and enforce security best practices while maintaining compliance across all deployments.

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in a DevOps or related engineering role.
Solid understanding of Linux systems and cloud environment management (preferably AWS).
Hands-on experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
Proficiency in Docker for containerization of applications.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling collaboration across teams.
