Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to join the WFS Sourcing & Supply team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing regional procurement buyers, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in supporting WFS’ operational lines of business and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Identify potential suppliers, conduct negotiations and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Develop and implement project plans to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Manage regional buyer team and ensure consistent processes and procedures across the organization
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan/maintain inventory levels accordingly.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
  • Conduct regular cost analyses and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and safety and security, to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
  • Generate and analyze reports on key performance indicators, such as program leakage, supplier performance, and cost savings.

 

Minimum Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar procurement role, minimum of 5 years prior experience.
  • Strong on negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain focus in a dynamic, chaotic environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement practices, supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and systems, experienced in MS Excel a must.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree a plus/preferred.
  • Background in finance, accounts payable, customer service, or supply chain a plus.
  • Purchasing card administration experience a plus.
  • Certification in Procurement Management is desirable

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • In-office attendance is required (i.e. not a work-from-home position).
