As a MS SQL & Oracle Database Administrator at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve — a community’s most vulnerable. Your role in our mission
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases for various applications in the Healthcare Early Intervention and WIC teams.
  • Create, backup, restore, and manage databases across Test and Production environments.
  • Administer database extents and manage disk space requirements.
  • Execute schema scripts and manage database releases in both Test and Production environments.
  • Provide on-call support every 3 weeks, responding promptly to after-hours database issues.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, production support, and DBA teams to resolve issues and improve database performance.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps clearly and effectively.
  • Maintain the integrity, security, and performance of databases, ensuring optimal operation.
What we're looking for
  • 2+ years of DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL Management Studio.
  • 2+ years of experience administering clustered databases.
  • Proficient in creating and running SQL scripts for database management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve MS SQL issues.
What you should expect in this role

Some after hours and weekend work required.
Every 3 weeks the candidate will be required to be on call for 1 week, this mean that once they are paged, within short time, they will be online and available for any database issue that happens after hours.  
This is a fully remote position with the flexibility to work from home, and we are considering candidates from all US locations; excluding US Territories
Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.

The pay range for this position is $56,900.00 - $81,300.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
