Position: E-commerce Buyer
Reports to: Country Director
Location: Montreal, Quebec

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As an E-Commerce Buyer, you will take the lead in shaping our online product assortment, leveraging your expertise in market trends, customer insights, and negotiation to curate a compelling selection. Your strategic approach will drive sales, enhance profitability, and elevate the performance of our e-commerce channel. Through innovative buying strategies and a focus on growth, you’ll play a key role in defining and delivering a best-in-class online shopping experience.

More specifically, your tasks include (but not limited to):

  • Identify, evaluate, and select merchandise that aligns with market trends and customer demands.
  • Monitor sales performance, manage inventory levels, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product offerings.
  • Implement A/B tests to improve conversion rates and overall user experience.
  • Maintain product merchandising tools to ensure all items are accurately presented online.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and ensure competitive pricing.
  • Partner with marketing teams to drive strategy digital media plans, focusing on Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), customer acquisition, etc.
  • Analyze E-Commerce specific KPIs (e.g., traffic, conversion, bounce back, cart abandonment rate, average order volume, etc.)
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform buying decisions.

WHO YOU ARE.

We are looking for an individual with a sales-oriented, positive and energetic attitude, who thrives in a sales role that requires you to work on and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time. We hire for mindset and train for skills, but it would be great, if you bring the following to the table:

  • College or bachelor’s degree in Buying, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing or related field.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in buying, merchandising, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
  • Proficiency in e-commerce platforms, tools (e.g. Shopify, Salesforce, Umbraco) and data analysis software.
  • Knowledge of fashion: you have a strong affinity with it and follow trends closely.
  • Solid understanding of numbers and business: you’re a quick learner! 
  • You are motivated by ambitious targets, and you thrive to see results.
  • Good time-management and stress-management skills.
  • Fluent in English and French, written and spoken – you will be a dealing with various customers from across Canada.
