Overview:

We are Hiring at UofL Hospital’s 5 South Surgical Oncology unit

Location: 530 South Jackson Street, Louisville, KY 40202

Shift Options: PRN, 7p-7a

5 South is a 16-bed complex surgical oncology unit caring for complex pre- and post-operative surgical oncology and plastics patients. This unit has all private rooms.

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Active Kentucky registered nurse license or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • All new-hire Associate degree registered nurses (new graduate and experienced) are required to start an approved BSN program within one (1) year of hire and complete an approved BSN program within three (3) years of hire.
  • One (1) year of patient care experience in specialty area

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Two (2) years of patient care experience in specialty area
