Position Overview:
As a member of Aegon AM’s Strategic Partnerships Sales team, this role is responsible for proactively establishing and maintaining business relationships with affiliate wholesalers, a.k.a. Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), to support sub-advised mutual fund sales efforts. This position will be an extension of mutual fund Portfolio Managers, also known as Investment Specialists (IS) or Client Portfolio Managers (CPMs).
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support Aegon AM’s sub-advised mutual funds throughout the US.
- Collaborate with wholesalers or Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) to assist their sales efforts with Financial Advisors.
- Provide mutual fund fixed income and macroeconomic updates.
- Communicate mutual fund sales themes to support RVPs with the Financial Advisor network.
- Position and differentiate AAM strategies against competitor strategies.
- Keep abreast the continuous mutual fund changes with current economic updates.
- Maintain a log of RVPs collaboration within Salesforce.
- Compliance aware approach.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related business field.
- Ten years of related business experience.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63.
- In-depth fixed income knowledge.
- Highly developed relationship management skills.
- Advanced presentation and communication skills.
- Attention to detail to document activities.
- Ability to work a high energy, collaborative and competitive environment.
- Ability to Travel 50-75%.
Preferred Qualifications:

The salary for this position generally ranges between $150,000 - $175,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
