About The Role 

As a Solution Architect (Pre-Sales) at IP Fabric, you will work closely with our Account Executives to understand customer requirements and provide technical expertise, in order to: 

  • Educate prospects in how our Network Assurance product changes the way they manage their network infrastructure for the better.
  • Assess which use cases best illustrate that capability to each prospect.
  • Demonstrate the product fit for those use cases.
  • Understand and provide a measure of the risk in a particular opportunity, based on technical and organisational fit.
  • Deliver a PoC process which ultimately successfully converts the prospect into a customer.
  • Hand over the customer to a Post-Sales colleague to continue their journey with IP Fabric.  

Your ultimate goal as an IP Fabric Pre-Sales Solution Architect is to create the right conditions for a technical win, and help convert into a successful commercial win.  

You will be the primary technical point of contact for new IP Fabric clients. From the prospect's initial engagement to the time they become a new customer, the IP Fabric Pre-Sales Solution Architect delivers custom solutions to meet customer expectations.  

Responsibilities: 
Guiding customers through the IP Fabric sales journey.  
  • Understanding the limitations of traditional network management approaches, and the possibilities of using network data to transform the enterprise.
  • Occasional travel for company meetings, industry events, and customer visits. Travel expected once to three times a quarter.
  • Project owner for any responses to RFP/RFI proposals.
Cross-Functional Coordination 
  • Collaborating with product management, product marketing, and engineering to provide field-facing feedback to influence the direction of the product roadmap.
  • Working closely with the support and customer success organizations of IP Fabric to maximize customer satisfaction.  
Technical Expertise 
  • Deployment and basic support of the IP Fabric product in customer environments - including appreciation of the limitations of deployment methods and the requirements for administrative access to different networking platforms.
  • Working with our sales and technology partners to assist with IP Fabric integration into wider solutions .
Requirements: 
  • 2+ Years of experience in pre-sales engagements for enterprise B2B hardware or software solutions ideally in networking space (Network Observability, Network Monitoring, Network Security, Network Automation, etc.)
  • Have a customer-first perspective.
  • A background in network engineering or architecture, with a solid understanding of networking technologies and protocols.
  • Strong appreciation of network management practices and tooling.
  • Background knowledge and appreciation of server virtualisation technologies.
  • Basic understanding of a programming language and API’s.
  • This role is for a self-motivated individual who works well with minimal direction. 

What's Expected? 

  • Develop a strong story-telling approach to educating prospects about the benefits of Network Assurance.
  • Build and deliver tailored product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts for solution activities that address critical business needs for our customers.
  • Maintain an accurate reporting of all engagements with customers via CRM 

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd: 

  • Strong understanding of NetDevOps workflows including automation, infrastructure-as-code, python, git, Ansible and similar tools.
  • Ability to code in Python, sufficient to develop custom prototype solutions for customers.
  • Proven wins as a technical pre-sales engineer/architect.
  • Expertise in one or more networking focused domains. Cloud, Data Center, Wireless, etc.
