Join our team at Cencora and seize the opportunity to become one of the two Senior Directors, Pharmacy and Health System Solutions, working closely with the Vice President, Pharmacy and Health System Solutions. In this pivotal role, you will lead the planning and support of internal and external strategic initiatives set by Health Systems and Specialty Services leadership. Engage with departments like Clinical Product Solutions, Specialty Physician Services, Distribution Services, Marketing, and Strategic Global Sourcing to ensure seamless alignment and execution of strategies, driving Health Systems and Specialty Services goals to new heights.   • Provide subject matter expertise and leads, scopes, plans and manages client billable ambulatory pharmacy implementation engagements.  Ensuring deliverables are met, managing risks/issues and mitigations, through successful implementation and engagement closure.
  • Leads, scopes, plans and manages customers onboarding with Cencora distribution services. Ensuring deliverables are met, managing risks/issues and mitigations, through successful onboarding and transition to the long term support team.
  • Leads, scopes, plans and manages various customer engagements, ensuring deliverables are met, managing risks/issues and mitigations, through successful implementation and engagement closure.
  • Supports planning and provides project management support for Consolidated Service Centers (CSC) engagements.  Ensuring milestones & deliverables within Cencora's control are successfully completed.
  • Supports planning and provides project management support for Pharmacy Infusion Services engagements.  Ensuring milestones & deliverables within Cencora's control are successfully completed.
  • Supports planning and provides project management support for Consignment engagements.  Ensuring milestones & deliverables within Cencora's control are successfully completed.
  • Supports planning and provides project management support for various customer engagements.  Ensuring milestones & deliverables within Cencora's control are successfully completed.
  • Collaborates effectively with various departments and associates across Cencora businesses. 
  • Must be capable of understanding and applying an industry-wide perspective on major trends, including customer, regulatory, technology, and distribution channel changes.
  • Invests time and energy into maintaining knowledge of the health systems industry.  Supports efforts to align and integrate Cencora Corporation’s strategic priorities with business unit strategies. Specifically, customer centric initiatives identified through strategic planning and customer experience work-threads.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet objectives; must be willing to travel to events such as customer meetings, conferences and national meetings. 
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist degree is strongly preferred. Advanced degree highly preferred, such as PharmD, MBA, MHA, MS, PMP, Agile Certification.  Normally requires broad training in fields such as business administration, communications, sales, marketing or similar vocations obtained through completion of Bachelor’s degree program; Master's Degree (MBA or MHA) preferred; requires a minimum of eight (8) years related and progressively responsible experience in the healthcare and/or distribution business.

  • Intimate knowledge of healthcare industry including direct experience with pharmaceutical distribution and related customer base
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrate experience in managing and leading complex cross-functional projects 
  • Well organized with demonstrated success in planning and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrates strong critical thinking and expresses ideas clearly, concisely and logically 
  • Ability to make balanced and insightful decisions 
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various management principles; solid understanding and support of Cencora policies, philosophy, goals and objectives in order to integrate a complementary management network 
  • Ability to assess changing conditions, values and needs of the customer; ability to conceptualize, develop and lead the effort required to support change
