What you will do:

The Account Executive is a dual-role position responsible for driving sales growth and expanding Trimble's market share within a specified region. This role involves strategic account management, new business development, and leadership in transitioning customers from traditional models to advanced, subscription-based solutions. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, this position plays a crucial role in achieving sales targets and fostering long-term relationships with key enterprise clients.

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to achieve sales targets and expand customer base.
  • Lead the transition of existing customers to subscription-based models, articulating the value and benefits effectively.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region, including cold calls, networking, and leveraging existing relationships.
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with existing accounts, ensuring customer success and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and contracts with accurate pricing and configurations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to align sales strategies with company goals.
  • Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs, and generate product development ideas.
  • Attend and participate in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events to promote Trimble solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and support sales team members within the region, fostering a culture of success and goal achievement.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Proven experience in sales and account management within the transportation, logistics, or technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based architecture and the value proposition of subscription models.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas consistently.
  • Proficient with CRM software, preferably Salesforce, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience in selling software solutions to the transportation or logistics market preferred.
  • Familiarity with Trimble Transportation’s product offerings and the broader transportation technology landscape preferred.
