The Opportunity
We have an immediate opportunity for a Accounts Receivable Supervisor in either our Lake County, Abbott Park, IL or our Columbus, OH location.
The Supervisor, Accounts Receivable (AR) is responsible for overseeing the AR team and ensuring the efficient management of all accounts receivable functions. This includes Credit, Collections, Invoicing, Cash Application, Dispute Resolution, and Customer Order Release. The Supervisor will interact with internal and external stakeholders to resolve outstanding issues and ensure compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor the AR team, providing guidance and support.
- Train, coach, and handle escalations within the team.
- Work with the Genpact collections team to assist in prioritizations.
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Oversee the management of accounts receivable utilizing multiple systems.
- Monitor receivables daily and contact external customers on delinquent balances.
- Resolve remittance exceptions and review explanations for customer payment differences.
- Verify AR reporting and provide commentary.
Process Improvement and Compliance:
- Continuously improve process design focusing on simplification, standardization, quality improvement, and cost minimization.
- Maintain policies and procedures for AR processes in accordance with GPM guidance.
- Contribute to process improvement reviews and evaluate best practices with global peers.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Review monthly performance reports and develop performance results for AR processes in the region.
- Provide internal and external audit support as required.
- Assist in the implementation of global standard AR processes to meet the needs of shared services stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required, Accounting or Finance majors preferred.
- 4+ years of accounts receivable experience, including all aspects of AR management.
- Knowledge and understanding of overall Order to Cash processes.
- Strong ability to interact with internal and external parties at various levels.
- Attention to detail with a propensity for continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP ERP experience is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills are preferred.
- Ability to work in the office – not a remote role.
