This will be a remote position and can be located anywhere in California.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Oversees employees in the functions of Premium Audit.
- Ensures that calculations for risks are accurate.
- Leads efforts to validate that the correct classes are being applied and in accordance with company procedures.
- Conducts premium audits and participates in or perform tours of the insured’s premises.
- Ensures audit results are reviewed with insureds, underwriters, and producers and that discrepancies are resolved.
- Ensures that employee coding is consistent/accurate.
- Maintains expert knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to jurisdictions and ensures correct and consistent application.
- Sets standards for the provision of Customer Service throughout the discovery, updating, and/or correction process.
- Responsible for performance and coaching of staff and decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management. Ensures new members of the team receive proper training.
- Ensures that the team meets performance targets.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Generally, 5- 8 years of premium audit experience with a focus on workers’ compensation.
- 1 to 3 years of leadership experience. Associates in Premium Audit Program (APA) certification preferred.
