Reporting to the Director of Client Communications, the Communications Specialist II will be required to write for various communications channels, which may include email, web, intranet, newsletters, collateral, and communications calendars for both internal and external audiences. Strong organization and written communication skills are needed as the position requires working cross functionally with all departments.

The Communications Specialist II will represent the company's products and services in all post-sale communications (i.e., all pieces that are not sales or marketing oriented). The role focuses more on operational communications rather than marketing. You will be responsible for communication with multiple HealthEquity audiences, which may include teammates and the general public. Customer types include health plan partners, brokers, clients, members and prospects.

What you’ll be doing 
  • Draft copy for all post-sale communications and campaigns.
  • Copy, edit, proofread, and revise communications.
  • Build and handle email templates as needed.
  • Evaluate internal and external communication plans and recommend change or innovation as appropriate. Stay informed of communication trends and opportunities.
  • Handle emails sent from several different email platforms.
  • Maintain and update the Communications calendar and library.
  • Collaborate with departments communication needs and requests.
  • Write and report on email delivery statistics and come up with strategies to improve engagement.
  • Build weekly, monthly and quarterly newsletters working closely with SMEs for both business segments and across all customer types (e.g., teammates, HSA client, HSA member, HSA broker; RA client, RA member, RA broker).
  • Create and deploy original email campaign ideas.
  • Assist with any and all written copy needs, companywide.
  • Other miscellaneous projects as assigned.
What you will need to be successful 
  • Ability to work both independently and with other teams and departments.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing, public relations, or journalism or equivalent work experience (4-6 years).
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
  • 4-6 years’ experience with writing and editing in a formal capacity (healthcare or financial industries, preferred).
  • Prioritize and balance a variety of assignments simultaneously.
  • Detail oriented and possess excellent verbal and written communication, project management and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with a CRM program and web content management program a plus.
  • Understanding of healthcare financial accounts (e.g., HSA, HRA, and FSA) is highly desirable

Salary Range: $72000.00 To $111000.00 / year Benefits & Perks:

The compensation range describes the typical minimum or maximum base pay range for this position. The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
