We’re looking for a consultant to join our ranks. Commonwealth Financial Network is a leading Registered Investment Adviser with more than 2,000 independent financial advisors nationwide, and its Corporate Strategy team is the go-to resource for critical strategic and operational improvement projects. Corporate Strategy team members act as trusted advisers to Commonwealth’s CEO and executive leadership, drive transformative initiatives, and shape the organization’s overall strategy. This breadth of exposures provides tremendous developmental opportunities and visibility across the enterprise, all supported by a close-knit team culture with proactive mentorship and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deconstructing complex and often ambiguous problems creating both qualitative and quantitative analyses to address underlying strategic questions
- Gathering and analyzing data from various internal and external sources to identify patterns and trends, telling a clear, compelling story based on the results
- Using excellent organizational and project management skills to prioritize and execute quality work within deadlines
- Creating and presenting executive-quality presentations and materials for a variety of audiences, effectively synthesizing information, influencing perspectives, and driving to action
- Managing relationships, leading interactions, and communicating with confidence with colleagues at all levels
- Working collaboratively in a small team of motivated, high-performing individuals
- Actively participating in the ongoing development of the Corporate Strategy team by supporting or leading recruiting, talent development, and culture-building activities
Core Strengths and Skills
- Intellectually curious; brings structure and organization to ambiguous challenges
- Outstanding ability to analyze problems and apply both qualitative and quantitative approaches to generate and evaluate potential solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently (oral, written, and in presentation), and to work well in cross-functional teams
- Ownership orientation, proactively identifies opportunities and proposes solutions
- Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university with relevant coursework; MBA preferred
- 3+ years of experience at a premier management consulting firm, top-tier investment bank, corporate strategy, internal consulting team, or equivalent
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred
