Job description

As Senior Employee Experience Manager at Bezos Academy, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our aspiration to be an employer of choice. In this role, you’ll oversee and shape the entire employee experience, including how AI-driven tools and systems employees interact with employees daily. You will be responsible for mapping out and owning all aspects of the employee experience, designing innovative programs that shape, measure, and impact our culture, including major employee milestones and touchpoints. You will lead initiatives that support our unique work culture and unite a diverse, nationally distributed team. This includes administering and improving the onboarding experience and employee lifecycle journey to help employees feel connected and supported from their first day to their last. With a focus on creating a frictionless employee experience, you will leverage data and employee feedback to drive impactful changes that align with our values and support a culture of recognition and belonging.

Your work will also involve collaborating with cross-functional partners to create an engaging, inclusive experience for all employees, with an emphasis on communication, career milestones, and recognition. Above all, you share our commitment to expanding access to tuition-free, quality Montessori-inspired preschools in under-resourced communities and are excited to help us grow our footprint and impact across multiple states and cities.

LOCATION

  • Flexible in the United States; Seattle, WA preferred
  • Relocation support is available for this role for those willing to move to Seattle, WA

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, salaried position.
  • The full salary range for this position, across all United States geographies, is $111,000 - $230,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who have been in the role for multiple years and have demonstrated strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience; during the interview process, candidates will learn the starting salary range applicable for their location.
  • This role includes 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, 7 paid days of sick (care) time, 9 paid holidays, 5 paid days off for an organization-wide winter break, and additional time off if required by applicable law. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Eight or more years of human resources or other highly relevant experience, including five or more years of proven success in managing employee-related programs or projects
  • Two or more years of experience leading the vision, strategy, and execution of multiple projects or programs simultaneously which are either enterprise-wide or for a large division
  • Experience using employee data and insights to drive engaging organization-wide initiatives across a geographically distributed and diverse employee population
  • Demonstrated personal commitment to industry-leading diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, with experience building trusting relationships across lines of difference
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders at all levels through exemplary written and verbal communication
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated experience developing programs from the ground up, overseeing related employee communications, and driving continuous improvement with a focus on inclusion and belonging
  • Proven success building and delivering engaging employee materials for processes such as onboarding, including presentations, papers, and other deliverables in a variety of formats (virtual, in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous)
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel (e.g., standard formulas, create reports, use pivot tables, conditional formatting, V/X lookup etc.)
  • Familiarity collecting and analyzing employee feedback data via survey platform tools
  • Experience with a variety of internal employee-facing systems, and ensuring effective user touchpoints
  • Experience leading and implementing AI initiatives for HR, by staying current with trends and advancements, and proactively recommending tools or practices
  • Firsthand knowledge of supporting educators and/or working within the educational sector
