About the role

Quality Assurance Technician leads pre-shipment inspection and support supplier validation. Answer technical inquires from internal and external. QA tech maintains product and supplier technical documentation in Heroes’ system. QA tech also involves in renewing product compliance documentation and product improvement project when it is necessary. Provide QA administrative support to the team.

Responsibilities


Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI)

  • Instruct supplier book via 3rd party service providers based on PO cycles, ensure the inspection in place and maintain aligned GRD, circulate the PSI result to related team.
  • Manage 3rd party service providers in daily basis to ensure inspection checklist is validated for inspection and inspection criteria is aligned with suppliers.
  • Follow any CAP if needed.

  • Supplier Validation - Support

    • Support the team to on-site review and evaluate supplier’s product development technical ability, production capability, quality management and production quality control and feedback to line manager.
    • Support line manager on collecting, filing and review new supplier certifications and quality manual, chase pre- and post-audit CAP updates.
    • Assist factory audit booking via 3rd party service provider.

    Technical Inquires - Support

    • Work as QA representative from quality department to response or react product and technical related question from internally different segment, department and externally suppliers or channels.
    • Work close with customer service department to support technical data and quality documentation.

    Technical Pack Maintenance

    • Own and maintain compliance tracker
    • Gather existing product and packaging technical information from suppliers according to technical pack checklist and file in corresponding server.
    • Support team to improvement technical document format. Keep information in document up to date.

    Product Compliance Tracking or Renew

    • Support the team to fill in product testing application form and assist product submission to 3rd party laboratory if needed. Track various test schedule and push the result to meet agreed timeline.
    • Follow up with suppliers to provide evidence to support claims on packaging.
    • Take ownership of compliance reports or certifications in master file. Track and maintain compliance reports or certifications in valid period.

    Product Improvement (PIm)

    • Manage quality tickets from daily basis to respond internal request or from external factors.
    • Feed in line manager if there is any product improvement opportunities from brand manager, product manager, customer service manager, Amazon online review or suppliers or ESG changes which will lead product change.
    • Provide investigation or analysis of product improvement opportunities with cause and effect, cost and benefit
    • Support line manager to execute and implement the change
    • Support product change execution in term of laboratory testing in prior to cope of compliance change to avoid loss of sales or share in the market.

    About you
    • Quality assurance/ control and new product development experience (1-3 years minimum).
    • University graduate in quality management / engineering. Real experience in factory or supplier audit or pre-shipment inspection is a plus.
    • Familiar on product inspection checklist creation is a must. Experience for build product testing plan is a plus
    • Familiar with illustrator and/ or 3D CAD software is a plus
    • Working in multi-national business (retail or online preferred) with flexibility to accommodate cultural and time zone differences.
