Job description

Red Clay Consulting is looking for an Oracle WAM, WACS, & GIS Solution Architect.  Oracle Asset Management Solution Architect will lead and support the integration of Oracle Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS) with Oracle Field Service (OFS) and Mobile GIS applications.  Experience with Esri’s Utility Network is valued and Oracle Asset Maintenance Cloud is desirable.  This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions for utility clients that enhance field operations, asset management, and network efficiencies.

The Solution Architect will design comprehensive solutions and lead the integration of Oracle WACS and supporting solution technologies. Moreover, the Solution Architect works with GIS, IT departments, and project stakeholders to develop strategies and designs that align with business needs and support the modernization of asset management through digital, mobile, and spatial transformations.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of Oracle Work and Asset Cloud Service solution integrated with Esri’s Utility Network and Mobile GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Collector)
  • Develop end-to-end solutions for enhanced asset tracking, field data collection, and network connectivity.
  • Manage all architectural solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.
  • Coordinate the integration and flow between FAM and Esri systems with asset management, network modeling, and field data accessibility.
  • Implement and configure solutions to enable field data collection, offline access, and real-time data sync with Oracle and Utility Network.
  • Develop and implement data rules, trace configurations, and topology standards within the Esri Utility Network model to support utility operations.
  • Work with cross-functional team to understand requirements and ensure solutions meet operational needs.
  • Provide guidance and training to clients on solution usage, best practices, and optimization.
  • Conduct workshops, document requirements, and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders.
  • Oversee the technical delivery of solution implementations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Mentor and lead junior level staff to ensure project success and Red Clay standards of excellence are achieved.
  • Create and maintain architectural and integration documentation, including workflows, data mapping, and user guides.
  • Stay updated with advancements in Oracle Field Service, Esri, and mobile field asset technologies.
  • Identify and recommend innovative solutions to improve field efficiency, asset performance tracking, and overall network resilience.
  • Develop best practices for data governance, accuracy, and reporting.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, GIS, or a related field experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in solution architecture with Oracle Field Service, GIS, and utility network modeling.
  • Proven experience with Esri’s Utility Network, including complex tracing, network rules, and asset management.
  •  Experience in implementing and supporting Oracle and Esri integrated solutions, particularly in utility or asset-heavy industries (e.g., energy, water, telecom).

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of XML, Groovy, and SaaS
  • Oracle Utilities Cloud Implementation certification 
  • Other Oracle WAM and WACS Certifications
  • Demonstrated experience as WAM solution architect.
