It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work onsite for three (3) or more days a week and will have a dedicated workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
Generative AI is a branch of artificial intelligence that can create novel and realistic content, such as text, images, audio, and video, based on data and models. It has the potential to transform various domains and industries, such as finance, marketing, entertainment, education, and healthcare. However, it also poses significant challenges and risks, such as ethical, legal, and social implications, data quality and security, model robustness and reliability, and user trust and acceptance.
We are looking for a skilled full stack developer to join our team developing business value add generative AI solutions. In this role, you will build scalable cloud native applications and interactive web interfaces. In collaboration with a small development team, you will be responsible for design, development, and testing. Experience with Evaluation Frameworks and back-end development would be very beneficial. This role will also work with other development teams and assist them in leveraging access to these capabilities through APIs in the future.
About This Role:
- Partner with the team to implement, test and deploy Generative AI solutions, ensuring their scalability, performance, quality, and security, and integrating them with the existing data and IT infrastructure.
- Monitor and manage the risks and impacts of Generative AI solutions, such as data privacy, model bias, content authenticity, and user trust, and implement the appropriate mitigation and remediation measures.
- Assist in training employees and stakeholders on the benefits, capabilities, and limitations of Generative AI, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, developments, and best practices in Generative AI, and benchmark the bank's performance and maturity against the industry standards.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure all solutions are compliant with best practices around application security, encryption, and data in flight.
- Participate in planning for initiatives; tasks include design, estimates, breakdown of work, and identify dependencies.
- Build cloud native back-end services using AWS native services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Function and Bedrock
- Collaborate with users and partners to provide ongoing enhancements to capabilities
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions and sprint planning/retrospectives
- Contribute to documentation, tests and examples to enable future development
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
- 2+ years' experience developing complex web applications
- Strong communication skills to work with the team, technology peers and business partners
- Strong competency in Typescript, Node.js, REST APIs and modern front-end build tools
- Experience building applications on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Ability to write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Proven ability to work across the organization
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps processes and tools
- Background in Generative AI development
- Contributions to open-source projects and libraries
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to flex into different roles on a small team
- Experience with testing and monitoring frameworks such as evaluations and observability
- Knowledge of web application security best practices
Compensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $76,281.00-$125,864.00
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
