What we’re looking for:
Undergraduate degree in business or science related field required.
5+ years of people management experience required.
5+ years of inventory management or lab management experience required.
High level of customer service skills required.
Executive/Consultative/Inside sales experience desired.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
Intermediate skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Knowledge required.
Basic knowledge of MS Access and ERP Systems required. SAP experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills to interact with both customers and various departments within Avantor required.
Must be able to make sound business decisions, be proficient in trouble shooting, forward thinking, multi-task oriented, and adaptable.
Potential for long-term career growth with Avantor required.
DOT & IATA certification required and available through Avantor if hired. Forklift, spill containment, Hazwoper, CPR, OSHA, GMP, and GLP trainings are considered a plus.
High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.
Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, and security clearances.

In this role you will:
This role supports the customer development, operations, and sales growth at the Consolidated Services Center in Watertown, MA and Regional Services. The leader will manage up to a team of 19 associates in Branford, CT, Waterton, MA and three sites in Cambridge, MA.
Manage all customer governance and own the profitability of the Consolidated Services Center and sales responsibility to ensure utilization of the services center to lower customer fixed costs while increasing our profitability.
Oversee complex customer presentations, implementations, and cost reduction initiatives.
Focus on revenue growth and operational effectiveness.
Be an advocate for innovation and utilize the service center facility to showcase our latest technology and services solutions.
Provide leadership to a team of associates in the form of coordinating daily activities, providing direction, and offering support and guidance in the functional areas related to outsourced service solutions such as: shipping, receiving, inventory management, chemical tracking, warehousing, glass wash, purchasing, desk top delivery, lab support services.
Manage a large team within a complex discipline or department, comprised of intermediate/experienced professionals.
Other duties as assigned.
